New Balance's Made In USA line has been on a roll lately, and Teddy Santis has been a big part of that success. The Creative Director of the line is now set to expand into a new seasonal collection that may kick off with a “Grey Navy” color scheme, as the New Balance 998 has just appeared in the same color scheme seen on the 990v6. This may spell a bright future for the 998 as this reveal follows Kith's partnership with the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation on the New Balance 998.
Like many Made In USA releases, the upper is made of premium materials with an ultra-hairy grey suede on the mudguard, midfoot, tongue, and heel. The toebox and portions of the tongue and collar are covered in white mesh, while the navy suede vamp and "N" logo on the midfoot add a pop of color. The TPU overlay on the collar comes in tan, while New Balance branding is embroidered in white on the tongue and in navy on the heel. Underfoot sits a creamy midsole with a navy hit near the toe, while the black rubber outsole completes the look.
The New Balance 998 Made In USA By Teddy Santis Grey Navy is set to release in 2023 through New Balance and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men's sizing, the retail price is set at $200.
