As the release date nears, the final silhouette’s from the Nike Doernbecher Freestyle XVII Collection are beginning to surface. The latest to get official imagery is the Air Jordan 5 Retro Low, designed by Michael Wilson. They draw inspiration from planes, sharks, and mac ‘n cheese.
Coming in hyper royal, safety orange, and university red, this AJ 5 Low also features a hit of green on the upper as well. Details include: lasered macaroni elbows on the blue parts, shark eyes underneath the translucent mesh midfoot panel, a black velcro tongue and back heel pull loop with custom interchangeable patches, custom macaroni lace dubrae, and co-branding on the back heels. Custom insoles, an icy blue translucent outsole, and special blue Nike x Doernbecher box finish things off.
The Air Jordan 5 Retro Low Doernbecher is currently set to release on April 30th, 2022. It will drop at Nike exclusively, both in-store, online, and via the SNKRS app. Coming in men’s sizes, retail is set at $200.
