While most collaborators in the footwear world gravitate toward lifestyle models, Action Bronson has offered a mix of both during his partnership with New Balance. First launching colorways of the 990v6 and 1906R, the rapper, TV personality, chef, and now designer is on the verge of launching his performance-oriented project with NB that encompasses the Minimus Trail and FuelCell Rebel v4. In the lookbook for apparel that will launch alongside the two sneakers, Bronson gave us previews of new and possibly upcoming footwear from the Action Bronson x New Balance partnership, including a 990v6, FuelCell Rebel v4, and Minimus Trial.
Bronson continues using vibrant colors mixed with earthy neutrals for these two performance models. The Minimus Trail model sees a vibrant red makeover accented by black, blue, yellow, and brown shades. For the FuelCell Rebel v4, Bronson gives the model a Lapis Lazuli-esque color palette of blues mixed with silver and cream. Both models feature their respective performance-oriented construction and tooling, the Minimus Trail being an outdoor-ready trail hiking silhouette and the FuelCell Rebel v4 being a performance runner perfect for training and race day.
Nothing is confirmed at the moment regarding whether or not these two new Action Bronson x New Balance sneakers are hitting store shelves. It’s possible that, like other pairs he has previewed, they could be for friends and family (or ultra-limited like the Scoripus 1906R).
