Although the adidas NMD series doesn't hold the same grasp on sneaker culture as it did in the mid-2010s, adidas continues to tinker with the models. Enter the adidas NMD_S1, one of the latest iterations of the NMD, which has just emerged in an “Italy” colorway.
The Italian iteration of the adidas NMD_S1 features a Primeknit upper in a cream finish. This neutral hue serves as the perfect canvas to highlight the red details woven into the heel tab and suede on the tongue. The midfoot cage comes in a semi-translucent TPU construction, while the Three Stripes branding gives the sneaker its nickname by mirrors the Italian flag. A semi-translucent Boost-cushioned midsole is accompanied by blue TPU pods, a clear throwback to the OG NMD. Completing the sneaker is an outsole that features a Trefoil logo traction pattern.
The adidas NMD_S1 Italy will release July 1 through adidas and select retailers online and in-store. Offered in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $200.
