Yeezy sneakers in stock and on sale at adidas!
Following multiple sales events for Yeezy sneakers, adidas has announced it plans to sell an additional €150 million worth of Yeezy sneakers before the year's end. This announcement, made by adidas CEO Bjorn Gulden during a recent earnings call, highlights the brand's strategy for managing its remaining Yeezy inventory.
According to the transcript available on Seeking Alpha, Gulden explained on the call, "Again, to explain you the Yeezy, so there's no misunderstandings. Yeah, the contribution or the sales we had on Yeezy in the first quarter was €350 million. Then in Q2, as we said, it was €200 million. We do expect, as we have said repeatedly now to sell the leftover of the inventory at €150 million, and that would then be that the total sales of the Yeezy products should end around €500 million."
Harm Ohlmeyer, CFO of adidas, also stated on the call that “around €150 million Yeezy inventory” was still left and that they “want to sell [Yeezy sneakers] at cost for the remaining months to come.”
So far, in 2024, adidas has orchestrated three major sales events featuring Yeezy sneakers. The first sale kicked off in March, followed by another in June, and the most recent in mid-July. Unlike the limited releases of 2023, these recent drops have seen over 100 different Yeezy styles reappear, complete with a dedicated landing page on adidas.com. The diverse collection includes everything from best-sellers like Foam RNNRs, Slides, and 700s to more obscure models like the Knit RNR BT and NSLTD BT.
Notably, some Yeezy products have even made their way to outlets, offering discounts previously uncommon for this highly sought-after line. On top of this, there are products on adidas.com that come with a discount. The updated guidance suggests that we can expect more Yeezy releases throughout the rest of the year, possibly featuring more diverse styles and broader availability.
