When Ye first showcased a prototype that was at that point dubbed the Yeezy 451 on Twitter, it definitely turned some heads with its unique design details that pushed the boundaries of contemporary design language. Eventually released in a similar form, though the upper became a one-piece sock-like bootie, the adidas Yeezy 450 saw an instant sellout as most Yeezy models do. However, pairs began to sat as more and more colorways began to appear in similar makeups and the adidas Yeezy 450 "Stone Teal" sticks to the greyscale trend seen on the model.
Now, following the pairs scrapped release due to the ending of the adidas Yeezy partnership, we can expect to see the sneaker finally hit shelves.
With the name “Stone Teal,” you’d expect there to be some vibrant colors somewhere on the model, though unfortunately, the same one-piece Primeknit upper we’ve seen before comes in a tonal grey shade. On the heel, however, an earth tone shade the realm of teal does take over, contrasting the stretchy knit collar it sits right below. Tonal laces weave through eyelets that pop up from the knit itself with the 3D printed foam exoskeleton wrapping up around the entire sneaker coming in a very similar shade. Underfoot, a wavy rubber outsole with adidas branding completes the look.
The adidas Yeezy 450 Stone Teal will release alongside a slew of Yeezy sneakers on May 31. Expect the drop to go down on either adidas Confirmed or adidas.com/yeezy. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $210. Keep it locked to our Twitter and the Sole Retriever mobile app to stay updated on the latest happenings in the sneaker and streetwear world.
