Dating back to 2016, Ye and his team at Yeezy were developing what would eventually become the Yeezy QNTM, a basketball-ready silhouette that infused the unique design language while still being ready for on-court action. Countless samples led to the QNTM, and since its original release during NBA All-Star Week in 2020, we’ve received around 10 different iterations (including the BSKTL variety). All of these came with similar construction, sans the Primeknit and TPU side panels, but now we’re set to receive our first QNTM colorway that forgoes black neoprene - the adidas Yeezy QNTM “Hi-Res Coral.”
Coming with its OG construction, the model takes various shades, including pale yellow, tan, teal, and coral orange, to make the most colorful QNTM to date. Down on the toebox, the suede toecap borrowed from the Yeezy 700 comes in its usual tan shade while the neoprene tongue comes in a muted teal hue, matching the lace set that sits atop it. This same material and shade covers the collar portion with it extended down onto the large heel counter, though half of it comes in a silver 3M finish. Along the profile, an RPU cage in a pale yellow shade sits atop the wavy Primeknit with visible 3M hits coming via the semi-translucent TPU material. Underfoot, a gradient sole unit featuring shades of coral comes encased with full-length Boost cushioning while the rubber outsole in a deeper coral finish completes the look.
The adidas Yeezy QNTM Hi-Res Coral is set to release on October 10th, 2022 through adidas Confirmed, adidas.com/yeezy, Yeezy Supply, and select Yeezy retailers worldwide online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $260. Keep it locked to our Twitter and the Sole Retriever mobile app to stay updated on the latest happenings in sneakers, streetwear, and more.
