Back in 2014, Jordan Brand unleashed the Air Jordan 10 Retro "Bobcats." When Michael Jordan became the owner of the Charlotte Hornets in 2010, the North Carolina-based basketball team were known as the Bobcats, and this is where this colorway gets its name from. We're now checking out an early sample that showcases what the sneaker could have looked like.
Unlike the released pair, this "Bobcats" sample switches the wolf grey tones with a crisp "white leather outfit that's as clean as it gets. The dark powder blue lacing system of the 2014 version has also been dropped here in favor of a bright blue and orange color palette that's infinitely more eye-catching. The number "23" is stitched onto the lateral sidewall as a nod to Michael Jordan's legendary jersey number. With that said, just like the pair that actually saw the light of day, the rubber outsole underfoot alternates between blue and orange stripes, complete with a timeline of some of His Airness' achievements.
The Air Jordan 10 Retro Bobcats sample is an alternate version of the 2014 release. As it is a sample, it was not released and will not be released at this time.
