Basketball's market share has grown continuously over the last decade with leagues outside of the NBA gaining popularity in their respective countries as well as international players making a splash on the global market. One such player, Guo Ailun, hails from China and has been signed with Jordan Brand since 2017, making him the brand's first Chinese-based player. Since his signing, a PE colorway for Ailun has been released with 2022s being on the recently debuted Air Jordan 37.
Covering the majority of the silhouette, white shades come accented by hyper jade hues and golden hits all throughout. Along the edge of the upper is a leather panel that wraps back towards the heel, getting covered in Chinese characters that keep the white theme alive. For the Leno-Weave upper, a hint of hyper jade is visible along the edges with the lace set coming in a two-tone white and hyper jade color combo. Golden hits come via the embroidered Jumpman on the tongue, topmost eyelets, and placed on the center of the heels pull tab alongside Michael Jordan’s signature in black. More vibrant hyper jade shades land on the sockliner and insole while the entire design gets finished off by a white foam midsole paired with a multi-color rubber outsole.
The Air Jordan 37 Guo Ailun is set to release this Holiday 2022 through Nike and select Jordan Brand retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $205.
