Once known exclusively for affordable groceries, ALDI is surprisingly expanding its horizons. The grocery store chain originated in Germany and has made strides in diversifying its product lineup over recent years. Its latest offering is something sneaker fans might not have expected. Following their previous foray into footwear with ALDI-branded slides that carried the store’s logo and color scheme, ALDI is now releasing its first-ever sneaker model, the ALDI Crane.
The ALDI Crane showcases a classic, versatile aesthetic, perfect for those looking for a casual but polished shoe. The uppers of this sneaker are constructed in all-white leather, giving it a clean and streamlined look. To add subtle flair, accenting hits are found piping the edges of the shoe, adorning the tongue, and highlighting the heel overlays. This detailing provides a pop of contrast without overwhelming the sneaker’s minimalist design. Regarding sizing options, the "Black White" variant of the ALDI Crane is set to be available in men's sizes 9 through 11. Meanwhile, the "Blue White" and "Rose White" versions come in women’s sizes 6 through 9.
The ALDI Crane will release on August 23, 2023, in ALDI locations and online. Coming in men’s and women’s sizing, the retail price is set at $13.
