The Three Stripes is often looking for collaborative partners across the globe, such as Mark Gonzales, Wales Bonner, and Blondey McCoy, to bring their unique style and stories to some of their most iconic silhouettes. Packing their bags for Tokyo, Japan, adidas has chosen the vinyl cafe bar Bloody Angle for a collaboration that brings both old-school records and style to the upcoming Bloody Angle x adidas Superstar Laceless.
Bloody Angle appears to be going back to the archives by providing a laceless adidas Superstar, immediately conjuring up images of Run-D.M.C.’s fashion choices of the mid-80s. Other vintage hits come in the form of the “Bloody Angle” branded vinyl hang tag as well as the black synthetic leather all throughout, featuring groove patterns similar to a vinyl record. On the toe, the standard rubber shell toe comes in a jet black matching the majority of the upper. Accenting purple hits come piping the tongue, heel overlay, and Three Stripes, complementing the bright red sockliner and Bloody Angle logo on the heel. Underfoot, a black-on-black midsole and outsole combo come stitched to the upper in a purple thread, finishing off the look.
The Bloody Angle x adidas Superstar Laceless has already seen a release overseas on June 16th with a wider global release planned later in 2022. Coming in men's sizing, the retail price is set at ¥17,600 (approximately $130 USD).
