Jordan Brand has officially welcomed New Orleans Pelicans star forward Brandon Ingram into its esteemed family. The announcement made waves Saturday morning, revealing that Ingram inked a multi-year footwear and apparel contract with the iconic brand.
This move also aligns with the brand's recent spree of significant signings beyond the basketball court, roping in talents like Jalen Hurts and Aaron Judge. Jordan Brand also reaffirmed ties with Luka Doncic through a notable six-year extension.
Ingram has been spotted donning the Air Jordan 38 FIBA during the FIBA World Cup. However, Jordan Brand took to its social media platforms to stamp Ingram’s affiliation formally. A vibrant series of posts unveiled Ingram sporting the latest Jumpman collections. In the caption, Jordan Brand stated, “Balling king, scoring bling. Ingram’s height matches his rise heading into this years’ FIBA Basketball World Cup and the newest member of the Jordan Family.”
Echoing the excitement, Ingram shared, "Signing with Jordan Brand is a game-changer. A life-changer, and now that it is a reality, I can’t wait to do special things together on and off the court."
Ingram’s alliance with footwear brands has been diverse. He stepped onto the college basketball court in Nike with the Duke Blue Devils. Transitioning into his professional career in 2016, Ingram signed with adidas and left the brand in 2021. Since then, he’s been a free agent. Now, uniting with Jordan Brand, he aligns with other Duke luminaries like Jayson Tatum and Zion Williamson, the latter of whom also plays with him on the Pelicans.
At a mere 25, Ingram is on a promising trajectory, and if the last seasons are any measure, he's set for greatness. A signature silhouette from Jordan Brand has not been announced, though if he continues to have killer seasons, we’ll likely be getting an Ingram 1 in the future.
