Dating back to the early 1950s, the Abington Shoe Company offered workwear products but truly struck gold when it introduced the Timberland 6-Inch Boot. This product became so famous for the brand that it eventually rebranded as Timberland in 1973, marking 2023 as its 50th anniversary. To celebrate a half-decade of existence, Timberland has introduced its Future73 program. Inviting six world-famous designers and brands, including A-COLD-WALL, Nina Chanel Abney, and CLOT, each respective label is bringing its unique design language to the iconic 6-Inch Boot.
Following up on the duo's first collaboration on the 3-Eye Lug, CLOT and Timberland’s two takes on the 6-Inch Boot include a tonal “Olive” colorway and a rework on the classic “Wheat” iteration. For the former of the two colorways, we see an olive tumbled leather take over the model with Chinese characters embroidered and encircling the upper. Tiger stripe patterns are stamped atop the tongue and portions of the midfoot in a black hue. Other contrasting hits include the brown leather around the collar, the two-tone yellow/brown on the lace set, and the white stitching details. A similar build is utilized for the second colorway, “Wheat,” with the only difference being the shades used across the upper. Rounding out the look for both colors is the iconic 6-Inch Boot’s sole unit in a tonal shade of green.
The CLOT x Timberland Future73 6-Inch Boot Collection will be released on March 30th, 2023, through select Juice Store locations in-store and online at juicestore.com.
