Emerging from the vibrant Chinese streetwear scene, COSTS has been making notable waves with its high-profile sneaker collaborations. After a successful partnership with Asics on the Gel-Lyte III, anticipation was high for their next joint effort. As we move closer to the end of 2023, the spotlight now shines on their next collaborative venture: the GT-2160.
Dressed in an elegant palette, the COSTS x Asics GT-2160 exhibits tan hues across its suede and mesh upper. The suede decorates the mudguard, vamp, eyestays, and heel tab, harmonizing with the shoe's overall tone. Breaking this monochrome look, the iconic Asics logo on the midfoot elegantly flaunts a tricolor combination of navy, white, and tan. Punctuated by COSTS and Asics branding, navy laces weave across the sneaker. Inside, a distinctive insole graphic marks the union of both brands, a testament to their shared design ethos. Final branding hits are shown off on the heel, with COSTS taking prominence on the left sneaker and Asics on the right. Underfoot sits a white foam midsole paired with a white rubber outsole.
The COSTS x Asics GT-2160 will release in 2023 through COSTS, Asics, and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at TBA.
