With the foam clog trend continuing to explode across the entire sneaker industry, one of the originators of the style, Crocs, has been making a monumental comeback. Collaborations with almost every brand under the sun as well as Salehe Bembury’s Pollex Clog model have reignited interest in the brand. In order to remain relevant for a longer period, however, new in-line silhouettes playing into the current design trends are in order, and that's where the Crocs Echo Clog steps in.
Launching in a Desert Grass colorway, the one-piece molded foam clog comes inspired by both sport and streetwear with its “unique” design that draws resemblance to both the Pollex Clog and Yeezy Foam RNNR. While the top half may look like a slightly redesigned Classic Clog with its perforations streamlined along the forefoot, the sole is where things get shaken up. An organic-like wavy design with perforations near the outsole allows for both breathability and wear in the water while the iconic “sports mode” strap on the heel borrows heavily from the aforementioned Pollex Clog. For added comfort, a LiteRide drop-in footbed is present that pairs well with the Croslite foam used on the sole unit. All of this is completely covered in a monochromatic tan shade.
The Crocs Echo Clog Desert Grass is launching exclusively via a raffle on the Crocs website and the Crocs mobile app on August 30th, 2022 with a wider release slated for later in the year. Releasing in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $70.
