The sneaker industry is often inundated with revivals, bringing back classic silhouettes that captivated the streets and courts in bygone decades. Reebok is no stranger to these revivals and is set to reissue the illustrious Reebok ES 22, a signature sneaker for the NFL's all-time leading rusher, Emmitt Smith.
Initially dropping in 1997, this sneaker had its last notable retro moment in 2012, much to the excitement of dedicated sneakerheads and fans of Smith alike. While the exact colorways set to drop remain shrouded in mystery, Reebok's recent tease on Instagram featuring an OG photo of the model has kept fans on their toes. The comeback is expected to stay loyal to the original design and feature a full-grain leather and mesh combo on the upper, lending it that revered vintage look. Comfort hasn't been compromised as Reebok's signature Hexalite cushioning remains intact, visible both in the forefoot and heel. This sits atop a rugged outsole, primed for the challenges of the turf.
The Reebok ES 22 will release in 2023 through Reebok and select retailers online and in-store. As of now, the retail price has yet to be announced.
