Puma is taking a nostalgic leap by partnering with Warner Bros. to celebrate the iconic '80s movie "Gremlins." This unique collaboration is a nod to the film's enduring legacy in pop culture, bringing to life its memorable characters, Gizmo and Stripe, in the form of footwear.
This special edition of the Puma All-Pro Nitro is designed as a mismatched pair, each shoe representing one of the film's beloved characters. The left shoe is adorned with the color palette of Stripe, the mischievous gremlin, while the right shoe mirrors the innocent and adorable Gizmo. This playful approach captures the essence of the film's contrasting characters.
Adding to the uniqueness, each sneaker features the three essential Gremlins rules on the tongue: "Keep them away from bright light, Don't get them wet, and Never ever feed them after midnight." While the tongue also features the years 1948-2023, which might be an oversight since the film was released in 1984, it doesn't detract from the overall appeal. This could also be a reference to Puma's 75th Anniversary as the company was founded in 1948. The shoes are grounded with Puma's Nitro Foam technology in the midsole, ensuring comfort and performance, and finished with a classic gum rubber outsole, enhancing the vintage appeal.
