Having garnered a sizeable cult following, Montreal’s own JJJJound has continued to elevate silhouettes from brands like New Balance and more recently with their Reebok NPC. Their collaborative efforts seem to be expanding as the brand took to Instagram to tease an upcoming Puma Suede colorway that is said to remain exclusive to China, though we may see other colorways be more widely available in the near future.
At first glance, the sneaker appears to look like a standard Puma Suede with the entire upper covered in the titular material with a light grey shade. Tonal laces match the upper while Puma branding on the midfoot and “JJJJound” text on the white leather heel tab get dressed in metallic gold. For the infamous side stripe, more suede material is present, though it comes in a slightly different shade of grey compared to the rest of the sneaker. Breaking up the monochromatic look is the white leather sockliner that rests near the “JJJJound” covered white insole. Rounding out the look is the white rubber midsole and outsole combo.
The JJJJound x Puma Suede Limestone and Putty is slated to release on September 24th, 2022 exclusively in China through Puma and select retailers. As of now, sizing and pricing information is TBA.
