Jordan Brand and its parent company Nike have been pushing for more sustainable and eco-friendly practices as part of the “Move To Zero” initiative. Even with a court battle over allegations of its sustainability complaints being exaggerated, we continue to see more renditions of eco-friendly kicks like the “Next Nature” (NN) series. For the latest NN release, Luka Doncic’s Jordan Luka 1 comes dressed in “Noise Aqua.”
Across the upper sits aqua blue synthetic materials that create a refreshing splash of color. Dark grey accents are present on the tongue, bringing a dose of contrast to the aquatic aesthetic. Further contributing to the marine-inspired look are the laces, tongue branding, and eyestays, all of which come in various shades of blue. With its exposed foam edge, the tongue integrates what appears to be recycled contents, adding another eco-friendly element. Providing comfort and support is a Formula23-cushioned sole unit contained in recycled rubber.
The Jordan Luka 1 NN Noise Aqua will release June 27 through Nike and select Jordan Brand retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $120.
