As sneakerheads began to foam at the mouth over every Yeezy Slide, Foam RNNR, and Salehe Bembury x Crocs Pollex Clog releases, brands throughout the footwear industry took notice and quickly introduced their own similar version of a foam slip-on silhouette. For Jordan Brand, their answer to this was the Jordan System.23, a two-piece slip-on that hasn’t taken off like they would have hoped for. Even with the hype on this model not reaching the levels of the aforementioned popularizers, it seems we’re set to receive even more colorways of the silhouette as a “Coconut Milk” colorway has just appeared.
Taking on a two-piece construction with an internal neoprene bootie and an external foam piece, the slip-on brings a classic Jordan Brand design to the future with the former of the two pieces featuring elephant print details embroidered on. This comes in a mixture of coconut milk and wolf grey and features two nylon pull tabs on the heel and tongue in a similar coconut milk shade as the rest of the foam exoskeleton. For this outer portion, perforations along the toebox and cutouts along the heel provide breathability and depth to this simply constructed model while Jumpman branding is featured on the medial side. Down below and completing the design you’ll find the coconut milk foam outsole that features more Jumpman and “23” branding.
The Jordan System.23 Coconut Milk is set to release in Fall 2023 through Nike and select Jordan Brand retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $110.
