Lil Yachty has been a diehard sneakerhead for years, often getting the hookup for early Nike releases from Drake, CPFM, and more. This plug has all culminated in his own PE colorway of the AF1 based on the Concrete Boys group. While he shared images of the single colorway, this past weekend at Coachella, Yachty shared images of multiple new renditions of the sneaker.
This collection is a testament to Lil Yachty's close ties with the sneaker community and his Concrete Boys group, showcasing a range of bold and expressive designs. The standout among the new pairs is the patent leather version. This version dazzles with its glossy finish and striking color palette reminiscent of the early 2000s sneaker scene, featuring red, green, and yellow hues that nod to the BAPE STA and patent leather Air Force 1 craze.
The other sneakers in the lineup adhere to a more subdued aesthetic, with two versions dressed in black leather. Each pair is accented with purple or red highlights, and a final pair in a crisp white with vibrant yellow accents. Each sneaker carries distinct branding elements that celebrate Yachty's style and his crew, featuring It's Us on the tongue tag and the Concrete Boys logo delicately embroidered on the lateral heel in a contrasting hue that complements each specific colorway.
While Lil Yachty showcased these PEs at Coachella, they remain exclusive to him and his circle, with no current plans for a public release.
