MSCHF, the Brooklyn-based art collective known for its irreverent and boundary-pushing creations, is at it again. Following the virality of the Big Red Boot and the “Orange” colorway of the Super Normal 2, MSCHF is set to release a new colorway of another in-house model, the Gobstomper. This time, the vibrant and whimsical silhouette gets a more subdued treatment with the "Graylag Goose" rendition.
Still retaining its multi-layer design that reveals multiple colorways as the sneaker is worn, this Graylag Goose opts for a neutral color palette for its topmost upper. This tonal adaptation gets broken up by the slightly visible multi-color layers around the edges of the upper’s panels. MSCHF takes its inspiration from the Greylag Goose, a species of goose common in Asia and Europe. The nod is solidified not only through the grey color scheme, but a tongue tag featuring an embroidered goose and the animal's name. Rounding out the design is the chunky rubber midsole in grey and a yellow rubber outsole.
The MSCHF Gobstomper Graylag Goose will release May 18 through mschf.com and the MSCHF Sneakers App. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $195.
