N. Hoolywood TPES's Converse MXWAVE EW Channels Vintage Military Uniforms
PublishedN. Hoolywood Test Product Exchange Service and Converse are teaming up with a design steeped in vintage military aesthetics. The collaboration sees a continuation of N. Hoolywood TPES's military-inspired themes from its Spring 2023 collection, specifically focusing on footwear that a fictional basketball team on a U.S. military base in Japan would sport.
Daisuke Obana, the mastermind behind N. Hoolywood, has always exhibited an artistic fascination for the past. This obsession led to the creation of the Test Product Exchange Service and now the military-inspired Converse MXWAVE EW. A color scheme extracted from vintage military items permeates the design. A blend of suede and nubuck in grey forms the upper, while darker mesh and TPU overlays add visual depth and a robust finish. The tongue tag is notably different on each shoe. The right sneaker boasts the Converse logo, while the left features a tag echoing the military-inspired theme of the collection. Completing the design is an Energywave-cushioned midsole in a coordinating grey and matching outsole.
The N. Hoolywood Test Product Exchange Service x Converse MXWAVE EW will release June 17 exclusively through N. Hoolywood online. The retail price has yet to be announced.
