The classics are what have made New Balance the brand it is today, from iconic 99X releases to more obscure, yet alarmingly popular silhouettes like the NB 550. Like the aforementioned silhouette and the 2002R, the Boston-based brand has chosen to revive another silhouette. the New Balance 1906R. Seen already in a multitude of colorways, a deep "Green" iteration has recently emerged.
A fine mesh underlay takes over the base of the silhouette in a deep forest green shade while various triangular-shaped suede panels come dressed in a shade just a touch lighter, almost blending the two materials together. Contrasting white hits are visible on the tongue and lace set, sockliner, and insole, while silver metallic details make their way to the “N” logo along the midfoot and “1906R” text on the collar. An exposed plastic heel counter continues the green theme while the small “NB” branding in its center pops due to its white color. Underfoot, the previously mentioned sole unit comes in white with silver and milky hits landing near the heel. Rounding everything out is the black rubber outsole.
The New Balance 1906R Green is set to release in 2022 through New Balance and select NB retailers online and in-store. Releasing in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $155.
