Over the past few months, New Balance has released a total of two orange-based 2002Rs, and it looks like they’re about to add a third one to the list with the upcoming New Balance 2002R "Burnt Orange." If you didn’t manage to get Salehe Bembury’s “Peace Be The Journey” or the “Protection Pack” Orange, this is the perfect alternative. Or, if you have both of those and just fancy a third orange sneaker in your rotation, it’s still a must-cop.
Dipped in a bold orange palette, this 2002R works on top of a breathable mesh base while supple suede panels wrap around the rest of the upper. Deep burgundy accents give this New Balance a pop of contrast, while 3M reflective hits adorn the “N” logo, heel, and vamp. Underfoot, a N-ERGY midsole offers a crazy amount of comfort with every step, and this is all rounded off with a black rubber outsole that brings things back to basics.
The New Balance 2002R Orange Suede is set to release in 2022 in men’s sizes. Launching at New Balance and a select few retailers both online and in-store worldwide, it’ll set you back $140.
