New Balance has been on a roll lately in keeping up with the “hype” world of sneakers. We’ve seen the brand revive many models to much success, like the New Balance 550, with one of the latest being the New Balance 580. Originally a Japanese exclusive, NB has given the silhouette a proper treatment marking its return by releasing plenty of different iterations on the model. For its latest colorway, the New Balance 580 has appeared in "Washed Burgundy" colorway.
Taking on a mix of materials across its upper, including suede, mesh, TPU, and leather, washed burgundy is the primary shade covering the model. Suede overlays in washed burgundy can be found on the mudguard, midfoot, and heel. Meanwhile, the toebox and collar feature tan mesh, adding a subtle contrast to the burgundy shade nearby. Along the collar, we see more tan in the form of the TPU overlay that provides additional support and structure. New Balance branding comes in grey/silver on the midfoot's "N" logo, and grey on the tongue tag. Back on the heel tab, we see black leather alongside black New Balance branding embroidered atop this panel. Rounding out the design is a two-tone tan and white foam sole unit with a grey rollbar in the heel paired with a black rubber outsole.
The New Balance 580 Washed Burgundy is set to release on June 1st, 2023, through select retailers and the New Balance website. The shoe will be available in men's sizes and will retail for $140.
