We’ve been blessed with a multitude of options for the 40th Anniversary of the Nike Air Force 1, ranging from commemorative colorways like the upcoming Tan Bling colorway or re-releasing classic releases such as the AF1 Mid "Chocolate." Add another retro to the list with news surfacing that the Nike Air Force 1 Low West Indies, which was originally released in the early 2000s, is set to return.
Honoring the region of the Caribbean home to countries such as Haiti, Jamaica, and Barbados, Nike keeps things simple on the AF1 by adding white tumbled leather across the upper’s various overlays and underlays with a vibrant green adding a pop of color to the sneaker. These green hits appear on the sockliner, heel tab, tongue lining, and tongue tag with its redesigned graphic featuring palm trees in a bright yellow. Embroidered on the medial side of the heel overlay is “West Indies” text split between red and green colors with a palm tree accompanying the logo in yellow. Underfoot, a white AF1 midsole is paired with a green rubber outsole.
The Nike Air Force 1 Low West Indies is slated to release on August 26th through Nike and select NSW retailers online and in-store. They will be available in men's sizing, retail TBA.
