Archival silhouettes have been all the rage in the sneaker world, with various brands reintroducing once-forgotten designs to significant fanfare. Over at Nike, there are countless examples of models from the 90s that still maintain a following. One that many had forgotten but now remember, thanks to the help of Jacquemus, is the Nike Air Humara, an ACG-like silhouette that first hit the scene in 1996. Now, The Swoosh gives the model a ripstop makeover in a clean “Dark Russet Pink Oxford” colorway.
Covered in suede, nylon, and ripstop material, the silhouette stays in the earth tone realm with dark russet overlays contrasting the peach cream underlays throughout. Dark russet covered the textured suede panel along the toe, while a smooth suede wraps around the profile back to heel in the same hue. Nylon straps holding the laces in place take on a two-tone appearance that allows the white lace set to pop. Below all of this is a peach cream ripstop base layer that covers the majority of the upper. Branding details swap between the two primary shades with plenty of Nike Air and Swoosh logos appearing. Rounding out the design is the textured foam midsole in a creamy hue paired with a gum rubber outsole.
The Nike Air Humara Dark Russet Pink Oxford will be released on April 21st, 2023, through Nike and select NSW retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $165.
