While the Beaverton-based footwear brand is certainly no stranger when it comes to big cat-inspired releases, this may just be their craziest one yet.
From a distance, this Nike Air Max 97 looks like the usual affair. With a mesh and leather base that’s doused in white, olive green accents offer up a militaristic vibe. Of course, the star of the show has got to be the aptly dubbed “Leopard Tongue” feature that nods to the predator’s unique fur pattern. Arriving in an earthy brown and yellow palette, black spots are peppered throughout to keep in line with the theme. This is all proudly showcased on top of a creamy, sail-colored midsole, complete with the exposed Max Air unit that the AM 97 is renowned for.
