Unless you've been living under a rock for the past few months, you'd know that 2023 marks a massive milestone for Nike, more specifically, the Air Pegasus. To celebrate the legendary line's 40th anniversary, the American sportswear giant brought the Air Pegasus 89 back in three original colorways including "Black," "Swan," and "Wolf Grey." Now, it looks like a fourth one is set to return in the form of the Nike Air Pegasus 89 "White Racer Blue," so make sure you read on to find out everything that we know so far.
Working on top of a crisp mesh base, light grey photon dust suede panels wrap around the lacing system and heel, while further contrast is added with pops of racer blue which speed towards the toebox, Swoosh, and topmost eyelets. "Nike Air" branding is finely stitched across the tongue tag and heel badge, and underfoot, you'll find an extra clean Air midsole that's pretty much a one-to-one remake of the OG from the '80s. This is then finished off with a complementary rubber outsole that perfectly ties everything together.
With the return of the Nike Air Pegasus 89 "White Racer Blue" slated to release sometime in Summer 2023, we wouldn't be too surprised if the "Sport Red" rendition made a comeback as well. Expected to drop at Nike, the SNKRS app, and select stockists globally, retail is set at $100.
