While Nike has been a dominant force in the sneaker world for decades, its venture into the foam-based slip-on niche faced challenges. Their Calm Slide did not capture as much of the market's attention as they might have hoped, especially with the foam slide trend receding. However, fans of the model can look forward to the Olympic-themed USA pair set to grace shelves this year. Alongside this patriotic rendition, Nike is geared to drop the Calm Slide SE Pack, which boasts a series of marbled colorway designs that remind one of the similar patterns seen on Yeezy Foam RNNRs and some unreleased Yeezy Slides.
Four variations of the Calm Slide have been teased: the Pink Foam and Phantom for the ladies and the unisex Picante Red and Black versions. Each rendition begins with a foundational hue, with a complementary shade artfully swirled across the slide, creating a mesmerizing marbled appearance from the footbed to the forefoot strap. As for the material, these slides comfortably cradle the foot with their foam composition, while the rubberized outsole incorporates the recognizable traction pattern from the Air Force 1 Flyknit.
The Nike Calm Slide SE Pack will release Summer 2024 via Nike and select retailers online and in-stores. Each pair, the women’s exclusive and unisex sizes, will retail for $50.
