The Nike Cortez is an absolute mainstay in the pantheon of Nike shoes. Fifty years of colors, collaborations, and configurations. That brings us to the latest step in the never-ending journey to perfect the Cortez, with the Nike Cortez Shroud "Yin Yang."
The Nike Cortez Shroud "Yin Yang" is another black and white shoe, but this perfectly balances black and white, light and dark, good and evil. The yin-yang symbol is a Chinese philosophical concept that describes opposite but interconnected forces. It's not only about the way things are opposite but also about how things come together. The black and white colors flow throughout the shoe and create a harmonious pattern design that seems chaotic at first glance but becomes very purposeful.
The new feature of this Cortez is the detachable shroud that unzips to show the shoelaces. Two sets of lace options are available, one in white and the other in black. In addition, a small embroidered Swoosh is found on the front of the larger Swoosh seen on the sides—classic Cortez tooling in white, finishes things off for this pair.
The Nike Cortez Shroud Yin Yang W will release Holiday 2023, through Nike, and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in women’s sizing, retail is set at $140. Keep it locked to our Twitter and the Sole Retriever mobile app to stay updated on the latest releases, raffles, news, and more in the sneaker and streetwear world.
