Illusionists are performers who do stuff that makes their audience say “wow” and perform acts that will make people question if they just witnessed what happened. Some Nike basketball players are known to make the crowd at the arenas say “wow” too, from Jordan Poole to Jrue Holiday to Arike Ogunbowale. All of whom pull off crazy moves on the hardwood floor. A big part of their illusional moves is what shoes they are wearing, the Nike Zoom GT Cut 3. With a handful of colorways already released, such as the USA and Electric editions, Nike continues to release more flashy colorways. The latest iteration, the Nike Zoom GT Cut 3 The Illusionist, will be released in August.
The Nike Zoom GT Cut 3 The Illusionist showcases a barely volt-based upper accented with volt. A bold black Swoosh stands out on the sides, helping to break up the bright design. A hint of metallic gold is seen via the branding on the tongue, while a volt fading into barely volt wraps around the ZoomX-cushioned midsole, providing comfort, responsiveness, and extra bounce. The translucent volt outsole sports black tread on the bottom of the heel, allowing the player to stop on a dime, change direction in the blink of an eye, and provide separation in an instant with the sticky multicourt traction.
The Nike GT Cut 3 The Illusionist will release on August 1, 2024, through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men's sizing, retail is set at $190.
