As summer fades and basketball fans begin to feel the excitement of the upcoming NBA season, Kevin Durant and Nike continue to fuel the hype with another Nike KD 16. Hot on the heels of the recently announced "Pathway Royalties" colorway, the Nike KD 16 will also be hitting shelves on the same day in an "Emotional Pathways" iteration. This follows up on the initial release of the model in the “NY vs. NY” colorway and an upcoming “Aunt Pearl” rendition.
Part of the original reveal of the silhouette, the Nike KD 16 Emotional Pathways offers a refreshing purple, blue, and white mixture across its complex upper. Rich purple nubuck adorns the mudguard, parts of the midfoot, and the heel, setting a solid foundation for the design. The mesh base captivates with a zebra pattern in two shades of blue, adding visual intrigue. Dark blue hues dress the eyestays and tongue, while lighter blue accents the TPU midfoot cage that seamlessly extends onto the sole unit. Beneath all this, the midsole combines shades of blue and white for a balanced appearance. Completing the look is a semi-translucent blue rubber outsole, which looks great and promises excellent grip.
The Nike KD 16 Emotional Pathways will released September 8, 2023, through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men's sizing, the retail price is set at $150.
