The Nike KD 16 Pathway Royalties Releases September 8

As the NBA gears up for another action-packed season, Kevin Durant and Nike are not holding back with the introduction of the KD 16. Building on the roaring success of the KD 15, which debuted advanced cushioning technologies and set new benchmarks for performance footwear, this new release aims to take your on-court experience to another level. This will also be the first new entry in the Nike KD series since Durant and Nike agreed to a lifelong contract.

Although we did see a minor release of the silhouette with the “NY vs. NY” colorway, the Nike KD 16 in the “Pathway Royalties” colorway will be one of the first widely available renditions. This iteration, part of the original reveal of the model, showcases a striking medley of black, vivid purple, and bright crimson. Black nubuck overlays embellish the mudguard, midfoot, and heel, creating a sense of visual depth. Adding to the dynamic look is a black and grey zebra pattern on the mesh base. The midfoot introduces a vivid purple TPU overlay featuring perforations extending onto the sole unit for a cohesive look. Metallic Silver piping forms a striking boundary between the base and overlays, and this hue is repeated on the lateral heel's Swoosh and the KD branding on the tongue. A vivid red lining frames the black tongue, while the laces maintain a sleek black tone. For comfort and performance, a black and purple midsole teams up with a bright crimson rubber outsole.

The Nike KD 16 Pathway Royalties will release September 8, 2023, through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men's sizing, the retail price is set at $150.
