Since its release last year, LeBron James’ latest signature sneaker, the Nike LeBron 20, has been a mainstay in the rotation of plenty NBA players and rec league ballers. Even though we are entering the latter part of the silhouette’s life cycle, colorways continue to appear like the recently revealed “Four Horseman” and GS-exclusive “Summer Vibes.” Now, the model has appeared in an “EYBL” colorway.
Taking its inspiration from Nike’s Elite Youth Basketball League (EYBL), the LeBron 20 "EYBL" features a multi-colored upper predominantly colored in grey. Accents of purple, blue, and pink pop throughout the silhouette, as seen on the eyestays, tongue, laces, and sockliner. Along the midfoot, the double-Swoosh action features a marbled tie-dye effect in a multi-color finish, while the medial side hosts a solid purple logo.
One of the most notable features of the colorway is the EYBL logo that appears on the tongue of the shoe. The logo is debossed on the left sneaker, while the right pair features LeBron James’ signature. Other hits nodding to Nike’s EYBL are the insole’s graphic and the acronym placed on the aglets of the laces. Underfoot sits a two-tone white and black foam midsole, with the white portion featuring paint speckles in purple and blue. Rounding out the look is the grippy rubber outsole, with the front half in solid black and the rear in semi-translucent purple.
As of this writing, the Nike LeBron 20 EYBL has yet to be confirmed to release, though with plenty of other basketball models (like the Ja 1 and Tatum 1) seen in similar colorways; we may see a release later in 2023.
