Nike is giving us new midsole tooling with the Spark runner, continuing their dominance in performance running product offerings. The Nike Spark Flyknit features a multi-layer Flyknit upper designed to be supportive and light with plenty of ventilation to keep your feet cool. The midsole mimics the Zoom Alphafly and ZoomX midsole concepts, incorporating two different densities of cushioning with a stiff carbon fiber plate that bends and flexes back to maximize energy return from heel strike to toe off.
Originally nicknamed the “Mushroom” edition, this Nike Spark Flyknit actually comes in a platinum tint and coconut milk colorway. It features grey-colored Flyknit threads woven with accenting black threads throughout. The upper layer acts almost like a sleeve strapped into the front of the shoe, as the underlying Flyknit portion is a bootie-like construction, featuring plenty of heel and achilles support. The laces are tied into thick Flyknit loopholes, running along the top of the tongue. The sail midsole features cutaways that expose the black plastic plate and a milky white outsole.
The Nike Spark Flyknit Platinum Tint Coconut Milk has been released overseas, with a stateside drop to follow in September 2022. Look for the sneakers to release on Nike and select retailers in unisex sizing for a retail price of $185. Keep it locked to our Twitter andMobile App to stay up to date on future releases.
