Year-end lists in the sneaker world are typically filled with subjective opinions that vary from person to person. Some prefer to look at sneakers that personally spoke to them, impacted the culture, or broke necks with new designs and color schemes. However, Nike has provided us with a list that, just like Sole Retriever’s most popular sneakers list from 2024, looks at data to showcase what the sneaker community went after the most.
Unsurprising to many, the list is dominated by hype collaborations, Nike Kobes, OG Jordans, and, of course, Travis Scott releases. Sneaking in the top ten are two Air Jordan collaborations, J. Balvin’s AJ3 Rio and Trophy Room’s Air Jordan 1 Low OG, both of which were some of the most hyped-up drops of the year's first half. Futura’s Nike SB Dunk Low, Kobe Bryant’s Nike Kobe 8 Protro Italian Camo, and the return of the Air Jordan 4 Military Blue follow suit.
In the top five, Travis Scott dominates as the Houston native and global superstar has four entries. Number five is his homage to his high school, Elkins High, which ended up being Sole Retriever’s most popular sneaker based on data we have collected over the last 12 months. Following this is Scott’s debut signature sneaker, the Jordan Jumpman Jack in Sail Dark Mocha, and the Jordan 4 Bred Reimagined, coming in at number three. Finally, the top two releases are Travis AJ1 Lows, number two being the recently-released Velvet Brown colorway, and number one being the Reverse Olive pair.
Below, we’ve highlighted each pair in the order Nike had on its top ten SNKRS releases.
