Known for its groundbreaking technology and performance-driven designs, Nike has crafted one of the best running sneakers to date with the ZoomX VaporFly 3. So far, we have only seen the release of the “Prototype” colorway, but more are headed our way. Now, we have first looks at the upcoming Nike ZoomX VaporFly 3 “Aquatone.”
Featuring an updated FlyKnit upper with zoned breathability in the toe and midfoot, this “Aquatone” pair features a primarily white upper with silver and black accents. The asymmetrical lacing system hosts a set of tonal white laces, while we also see Nike branding in the form of a Swoosh, VaporFly text, and Flyknit text in purple and black. Along the midfoot sits a sunken Swoosh in silver and black, while the chunky ZoomX-cushioned sole unit takes on an aqua-blue finish. Within this cushioning system, Nike inserts a Flyplate, essentially a carbon fiber shank, at midfoot for added energy return. Rounding out the design is the outsole in a semi-translucent purple rubber near the toe and foam at the heel.
The Nike ZoomX VaporFly 3 Aquatone will release this fall through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $250.
