Jordan Brand has forever given athletes, celebrities, and influencers unique pairs to celebrate moments in their lives. Obi Toppin, the New York Knicks power forward, just received a pair of sneakers celebrating the birth of his daughter Remi. Themed around being a “Girl Dad,” Obi’s daughter Remi helps inspire his own Air Jordan 37 Low PE.
Shared via an Instagram story post, Obi showcased a black AJ 37 Low that features accenting hits of pink and gold throughout its design. Suede panels take over the toe, tongue, and midfoot overlays while Leno-Weave lands in its usual spot on the mid-foot’s underlay. Two-tone pink and black laces pop along the tongue while we see gold details on the Jordan branding details and lace aglets. This color continues onto the pull tab, swapping out its usual MJ signature detail for “#GirlDad” branding. Other added details include a pink bow attached to the laces and Obi’s daughter's name (Remi) placed on the lining of the tongue. Rounding out the design is a black AJ 37 midsole with a semi-translucent pink hit on the heel and a pink and black rubber outsole.
The Obi Toppin x Air Jordan 37 Low Girl Dad PE will remain exclusive to Obi Toppin and not see a public release.
