Although LeBron James took the leap from high school to the NBA, The King has gone on record, saying he would have attended Ohio State if he had played NCAA ball. As an honorary alumnus of the school, we’ve seen James gift OSU athletes exclusive sneakers, cleats, and gifts. In 2022, the school was given a custom Nike Air Zoom Generation cleat for the football team, with James and Nike now giving the school a LeBron 4 Eggplant-inspired Nike Vapor Edge Cleat.
Akin to the LeBron 4 Fruity Pebble Cleat that dropped earlier this year, the upper comes with a Foamposite outer shell and the interior construction of the Nike Vapor Edge. The iridescent Eggplant colorway, inspired by the Nike Air Foamposite One of the same same, is applied to the outer portions, with the knit and neoprene of the internals coming in a sleek black shade. LeBron branding gets placed near the tongue’s pull tab, while a white Swoosh cuts across the lateral collar. Underfoot sits a black midsole with a cleated outsole in a tonal blue finish.
Unfortunately for those interested in the pair, the Nike Vapor Edge Zoom LeBron 4 Eggplant Cleat will be exclusive to Ohio State University football players.
