Puma's partnership with legendary basketball player Walt "Clyde" Frazier birthed the iconic Puma Clyde, a sneaker that transcends generations. As we celebrate its golden jubilee this year, the brand has seen many interpretations of the classic silhouette. The Puma Clyde Huskie, one of the latest offerings, is set to add a playful twist to the roster, drawing inspiration from the delectable corn on the cob.
The Puma Clyde Huskie harmoniously marries sporty aesthetics with whimsical details. Enveloping the sneaker's exterior is pristine white leather, complemented by sun-kissed orange accents that find their home on the laces, tongue tag, and the meticulous stitching that outlines the signature Form Strip. A delightful twist emerges with the anthropomorphized corn on the cob emblem, which playfully replaces the traditional Puma logo on the tongue. Delving deeper, the insole flaunts a similar corn graphic, reinforcing the shoe's theme. On the rear, a heel tab showcases yet another depiction of the cheerful corn character—the time-honored white Clyde sole unit grounds all these elements.
The Puma Clyde Huskie will release October 1, 2023, through Puma and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men's sizing, the retail price is set at $110.
