LaMelo Ball made a smart decision by signing with Puma as he has become the face of the German sportswear labels basketball division complete with a signature line of sneakers - the Puma MB series. Over its short history we have seen the model become one of the more popular on the market with it recently getting its second iteration, the aptly named Puma MB.02. Going back to the OG model, LaMelo was spotted way back in 2022 rocking a khaki-colored “Digital Camo” colorway of the sneaker which is now finally seeing a retail release.
Constructed with its usual TPU and engineered mesh upper, the model gets covered in khaki shades with digital camo in brown and green hues spread throughout the design. These earthy hues come accented by orange hits on branding details like the Puma formstrip along the mudguard and Melo branding along the tongue and heel. Near the collar, we see the infamous wings embroidery that nods to Melo’s phoenix logo in a tonal tan hue along the lateral side while the medial side gets its wings covered in a digital camo TPU. Underfoot sits a two-tone tan and orange NITRO Foam-cushioned midsole paired with a semi-translucent orange rubber outsole.
On top of this PE, Puma has a series of colorways worn by Melo during the 2021-2022 NBA season that are set to release as a part of the brand's "Rare Reserve" program
The Puma MB.01 Digital Camo PE is set to release on March 24th, 2023 through Puma and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $150.
