One of the hottest performance basketball sneakers in the last year, the Puma MB.01 has finally received its successor - the aptly named Puma MB.02. So far we’ve seen a handful of colorways emerge out of the woodwork and even a Nickelodeon collaboration, however, Puma’s latest rendition of the model pays tribute to LaMelo Ball’s monster rookie season and his ROTY award.
Dressed in a mixture of blue hues, the lighter of the two shades takes over most of the engineered mesh while a deeper blue appears on the lateral sides TPU wings design. Special details nodding to Melo’s award can be found on the vamp which replaces the “1 of 1” logo typically found there and via the insole through a graphic that mimics the NBA logo. Accenting white hits appear on the two-tone lace set, the medial side’s TPU wings, and the back on the spine of the heel with Melo branding. Rounding out the design is the matching rubber midsole that features nitro foam cushioning paired with a semi-translucent rubber outsole.
The Puma MB.02 ROTY is set to release on December 9th, 2022 through Puma and select Puma retailers online and in-store. Releasing in men's and grade school sizing, the retail price is set at $130 and $110 respectively.
