Since entering the NBA, LaMelo Ball has quickly ascended as one of the faces of Puma Basketball, bringing a fresh, youthful energy to the brand's hoops division. Even with him being sidelined for almost 30 straight games, Puma has been prepping new renditions of his MB.03 and created a low-top iteration of the model. Now, after the launch of the MB.04 with the LaFrance colorway, the model is coming to us in a 1Love rendition.
Like the MB.03 shape, the upper of the MB.04 sees an overhaul with an intricate TPU pattern. The web-like design enveloping the upper promises enhanced durability and flexibility, ensuring that the MB.04 stands up to the rigors of high-level play. Signature elements from LaMelo's branding, including the Phoenix logo and "1 1 1" motifs, are thoughtfully integrated into the design, embedding a piece of the athlete's identity into every pair. This colorway continues the vibrant in-your-face color palette the MB line has been known for, with a bright volt acting as the base and red taking over the TPU overlays and lace set. Underfoot sits a foam midsole and grippy outsole with Nitro Foam cushioning likely housed within.
The Puma MB.04 1Love will release October 25, 2024, through Puma and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men's, gradeschool, and preschool sizing, the retial price is set at $125, $105, and $85, respectively.
