One of Puma's recent initiatives, the WE ARE LEGENDS (WAL) collective, has created waves with powerful messages and groundbreaking designs. WAL has been a beacon for showcasing black excellence and driving social change, and this season, they've set their sights on the vibrant celebration of Carnival as seen through the lens of the African Diaspora. WAL translates this onto the ever-popular Puma RS-X.
The Puma RS-X WAL "Carnival" is a masterclass in storytelling through footwear. Embodying the spirit and joy of Carnival, the sneaker boasts a mixture of smooth leather and high-quality suede, primarily seen in a black hue. The utilization of multi-color hits on the embroidered Formstrip and portions of the toe, tongue, and heel exudes the jubilance of Carnival. Nodding to the collective that helped design the sneaker, “We Are Legends” in metallic gold is debossed near the lateral heel and placed on the insole. Rounding out the look is the white foam midsole paired with a white, pink, and blue rubber outsole.
The Puma RS-X WAL Carnival will release August 31, 2023, through Puma and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $110.
