New York Liberty star Breanna Stewart made headlines last year when she debuted her signature sneaker, the Puma the Stewie 1. As we approach the 2023 WNBA season, Puma is gearing up to launch the Puma Stewie 2, debuting in a bold "Ruby" colorway.
This Puma Stewie 2 “Ruby” features a vibrant red hue across its design in honor of Stewart’s daughter, Ruby. The sneaker boasts Puma's latest tech, including a Pwrtape upper and Nitro-infused foam for cushioning. Breanna’s logo lands atop the tongue and heel, while the outsole offers excellent traction. For this specific colorway, we see the side feature text denoting Ruby’s birthday (August 9, 2021),
"As I began creating my second signature shoe with Puma, I knew I wanted to name it after my daughter, Ruby," Stewart said in a press release. "Being a mother inspires me to be the best version of myself every day, and I hope wearing the Ruby colorway empowers others to recognize the limitless abilities and spirit within themselves."
The Puma Stewie 2 Ruby will release May 19 through Puma and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in women's sizing, the retail price is set at $125.
