Reebok Basketball has announced its latest major signing: Chicago Bulls rookie Matas Buzelis, the number 11 pick in the 2024 NBA Draft. Buzelis, a standout talent from Hinsdale, Illinois, joins a growing lineup of Reebok athletes, including Angel Reese, Lexie Brown, and recently signed young stars Nate Ament and Dink Pate. The multi-year endorsement contract was overseen by Reebok's President of Basketball, Shaquille O'Neal, who is helping prep the brand for a reset in the basketball market next year.

"Reebok just felt like the right fit," Buzelis said about his decision to join the brand. "They’ve got great energy and focus, and a great approach to making products that support how I play. I’m really looking forward to working with the brand to create and make an impact."

At 6’10, Buzelis stands out as an athletic forward with impressive ballhandling skills, a smooth shooting touch, and the ability to finish strong at the rim. His basketball journey has been nothing short of extraordinary. After earning All-American and Player of the Year honors in high school, Buzelis bypassed college to play for the G League Ignite in 2023. His decision to forgo the traditional college route has set him up for an exciting career in the NBA, with the Chicago Bulls betting on his potential by selecting him in the lottery.

As part of his partnership with Reebok, Buzelis will support various brand activations and help promote the brand’s lifestyle and performance products, including Reebok’s latest performance basketball shoe, the Engine A. His confidence and approach to the game, seeking out challenges and never backing down, align perfectly with Reebok’s ethos.

Buzelis is also thrilled to join a brand with deep ties to basketball legends. "It’s cool to be part of the same brand as Shaq and AI. Those guys have done so much for the game, so being able to work with a brand that’s connected to them so deeply is something I’m proud of. It’s a great feeling," he shared.

With this signing, Reebok continues establishing itself as a major player in the basketball world, building a roster of young, exciting talents ready to shape the game's future. Buzelis, with his skill set and winning mentality, looks poised to make a significant impact on and off the court, making him a natural fit for Reebok's expanding basketball family.
