Taking us back to the ‘90s, Reebok is bringing back a classic colorway of the label's The Blast silhouette that ex-NBA player Nick Van Exel wore. The former Lakers guard was a major force for the silhouette, and with the upcoming Lakers-themed colorway, it's obvious Reebok is paying homage to the former Reebok athlete.
Staying true to its original design with its leather and mesh upper, this Reebok The Blast features a clean white, purple, and yellow combo throughout its design. White leather details land on the toebox, eyestays, and tooth-like overlays, while purple accents hit small portions around the toe and midfoot. More purple is spotted on the Reebok branding on the tongue and its circular pull tab, while the mesh near the collar and midfoot also comes in the regal shade. Vibrant hits of yellow appear on the heel of both the upper and sole, with the multi-color outsole completing the design.
The Reebok The Blast Nick Van Exel has already saw a release Tuesday, April 25, while a broader drop via Reebok and select retailers online and in-store is set for May. Coming in men's sizing, the retail price is set at $150.
