Though Puma may not be the first name you think of when it comes to performance basketball offerings, the German sportswear brand has been making strides in this field. Not only have we seen the signature sneaker lines of LaMelo Ball and Breanna Stewart expand, but we have also seen other Puma-endorsed NBA players get their take on the Puma All-Pro Nitro silhouette. Following up on Marcus Smart's take on the sneaker, RJ Barrett will be getting his own colorway on the All-Pro Nitro.
Coming in a color palette more in line with Barrett's previous team, the New York Knicks, his All-Pro Nitro features a graphic pattern on its engineered mesh base that is a possible nod to the snowy atmosphere of Toronto. Orange highlights dominate the Puma Formstrip on the lateral midfoot, lace set, and Barrett's personal RJB logo on the tongue, injecting a bold contrast against the sneaker's primarily white base. Blue accents include:
- A TPU overlay near the lace setup.
- All-Pro branding on the lateral heel.
- A Formstrip on the medial side.
Further personal touches include Barrett's RJB logo on the heel and a skyline slightly visible on the insole, likely his hometown of Toronto. Below is a white and clear midsole with Nitro Foam cushioning paired with a clear rubber outsole.
The RJ Barrett x Puma All-Pro Nitro will release in 2024 through Puma and select retailers online and in-store. As of this writing, the sneaker's retail price has not been announced.
